I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying podcasting! 😀

My latest podcast show was an interview with a group of sheros I have long admired. These ladies are bad ass and I love them. I’m talking about the Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit.

I spoke with Lewyn Maefala who heads up their community environmental education programme ‘Bush Babies’. Boy did we share some laughs, she’s so much fun!

We chatted about how the Black Mambas are effective in the war against poaching even though they are unarmed; being chased by lions; how you stop the children of poachers from growing up to become poachers themselves; changing the traditional African attitudes about women; sexual assault and wildlife heroes.

Lewyn is so passionate and charismatic that I have absolute faith that she and the rest of the Black Mambas are going to continue with the success they are having in winning the war against poaching in the greater Kruger national park. Ensuring that today’s children and not tomorrow’s poachers.
